Established in 1974, Mathews Furniture has designed and crafted custom-made furniture for over three generations. A Long History of Upholstery
Peter Mathews established Mathews Furniture in South Australia over 49 years ago. With family connections to one of Adelaide's oldest and most reputable furniture companies, AJ Higgins (AJH Furniture), he operated the company until he retired.
Bruno and Tina Damin then bought the company where Bruno's skills and experience, learned from his father Renato, who trained in Venice, Italy, were put to work.
An expert in traditional upholstery techniques, including hand-tied springing, horse hair padding, hand stitching and deep buttoning, Bruno has passed on his extensive knowledge and passion to the new business owners, his daughter and son-in-law.
